Serves: 3-4
Preparation time: 20mins
Baking/cooking time: 10mins

Ingredients

  • Apetina Paneer 225g
  • 1 cup of gram flour
  • 3 tbsp corn flour
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, finely chopped
  • 2 green chillies, chopped
  • 4 sprigs of fresh coriander, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • Pinch of turmeric
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp plain yoghurt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • Vegetable oil

Method

  1. Chop up paneer and set aside.
  2. Add to a mixing bowl:

    1 cup of gram flour
    3 tbs corn flour
    1 tsp chopped ginger
    2 green chillies chopped
Finely chopped 4 sprigs of coriander.
    1 tsp full cumin seeds
    1 pinch of turmeric
    Salt to taste
    1 tbs yoghurt

  3. Mix all of this together.
  4. Thereafter, add ½ cup of water to get a thick consistency.
  5. This batter is now ready (should resemble consistency of fish and chips batter). Add in 1tsp flat baking soda to the batter just before you are about to dip the paneer and fry.
